Description

This Adamax spray 10mg comes premixed: 10mg of Adamax dissolved in a buffered solution, in a 10ml spray bottle. No reconstitution, no syringes. It’s sold for laboratory research only.

What’s in the Adamax spray 10mg?

Adamax is a Semax analogue with an adamantane group added.

The aim is a version of Semax that lasts longer and gets across membranes more easily.

This is the 10mg Adamax spray, the lower concentration of the two we sell. It’s the sensible choice for a first look at Adamax, or for comparison work against a Semax spray at the same strength.

Spray or vial: which format fits?

The main reason is convenience. Lyophilized vials need bacteriostatic water, a syringe and a few minutes of care, while the spray is ready the moment you open it. The metered pump also gives a consistent volume each time.

If you need a different concentration than the spray offers, a lyophilized vial is the more flexible option.

Research background

Adamax is very new, and there’s almost no peer-reviewed literature on it yet. What’s known comes from the much bigger body of Semax research.

For the full literature, see this PubMed search.

How to store the Adamax spray 10mg

Store it refrigerated, standing up, with the cap closed. Prime the pump before first use by spraying into the air until the mist is even. Don’t leave it in a warm car or in direct sunlight.

Use it within about 30 days of opening, and don’t swap nozzles between bottles.

Keeping track of a spray bottle

Write the date you opened the Adamax spray 10mg on the label. Note how many pumps you use per session and how many went into priming, so you know roughly how much is left. If the pump delivers about 0.1ml per press, a 10ml bottle gives around 100 presses, so a simple tally tells you when to reorder.

Keep the lot number in your notes too. If you switch to a new bottle partway through a study, you’ll know which results came from which batch.

Common mistakes with nasal sprays

The usual ones are skipping the priming step, storing the bottle on its side so the tube draws air, and leaving it out of the fridge between sessions. Each of these changes how much solution comes out per press, which makes results harder to compare.
