Description
Glutathione 1500mg ships as a sealed vial holding 1500mg of lyophilized powder. The compound and amount are printed clearly on the label. It’s sold for laboratory research only.
What is Glutathione?
Glutathione is a tripeptide made from glutamate, cysteine and glycine, with an unusual bond: the glutamate links through its side chain (a gamma bond) instead of the usual backbone. That bond makes it hard for most enzymes to break down.
It’s the main antioxidant inside cells. The reduced form, GSH, gives up electrons to neutralize reactive oxygen species and turns into the oxidized form, GSSG. The ratio of the two is one of the standard ways labs measure oxidative stress. This vial is reduced glutathione (GSH).

Research background
Glutathione was first described in 1888 and has been studied for well over a century. It turns up in research on liver function, detoxification, the immune system and aging, and it’s a common reagent in biochemistry labs.
There’s a huge literature on it, much of it about how cells make and recycle it.

Which Glutathione size is right for you?
We sell Glutathione in two sizes. The larger vial costs less per milligram, and the smaller one makes sense if you only need a little.
- Glutathione 600mg: $59.99, about $0.10 per mg
- Glutathione 1500mg: $119.99, about $0.08 per mg (this page)
Not sure? The Glutathione 1500mg vial is the better value if you go through a lot. You can also look at Glutathione 600mg.
Working out the concentration
How much liquid you add decides the concentration. For a Glutathione 1500mg vial:
- 5ml of bacteriostatic water gives 300mg/ml
- 10ml of bacteriostatic water gives 150mg/ml
Less liquid gives a stronger solution, more liquid gives a weaker one. Write down what you used, right on the vial, so nobody has to guess later.
Storage and reconstitution
Store the Glutathione 1500mg vial cold and dark. A fridge is fine for weeks, and a freezer is better for months. Give it a few minutes at room temperature before opening.
Most labs reconstitute it with bacteriostatic water. Let the water run down the side of the vial instead of straight onto the powder, then swirl until it’s clear. Keep the solution in the fridge afterward. A peptide case helps if vials travel between benches.
