Description
Thymalin from LA Peptides is a thymic peptide complex supplied as 10mg of lyophilized powder in a sealed vial. Each batch has a certificate of analysis you can open by scanning the QR code on the label. It’s sold for laboratory research only.
What is Thymalin?
It’s a mix of short peptides extracted from calf thymus, the gland where T cells mature. It’s the oldest product in the bioregulator family, and the single peptides Vilon and Crystagen were later developed from work on it.
Because it’s a complex, not a single sequence, it’s studied as a whole. The interest is in immune signaling and in how the thymus changes with age, since the gland shrinks steadily from adolescence on.

Research background
Vladimir Morozov and Vladimir Khavinson developed it at the Kirov Military Medical Academy in Leningrad in the 1970s. It was approved for use in the Soviet Union and is still registered in Russia.
Long-term studies from Khavinson’s group in older adults reported changes in immune markers, but almost all of the published work comes from that one research network.
Most of the papers are indexed on PubMed. Try a PubMed search for Thymalin to start.
What’s on the certificate of analysis
Scan the QR code on the label and the certificate of analysis for that batch opens on your phone. A peptide COA usually lists the lot number, the test date, purity by HPLC and identity by mass spectrometry. Before you start, check that the lot number on the COA matches the one on your vial.
Saving the COA alongside your records is a small habit that pays off when you’re comparing one batch with the next.
Thymalin reconstitution and concentration
How much liquid you add decides the concentration. For this vial holding 10mg:
- 1ml of bacteriostatic water gives 10mg/ml
- 2ml of bacteriostatic water gives 5mg/ml
- 3ml of bacteriostatic water gives about 3.33mg/ml
Pick a volume that makes your measurements easy, then write the concentration and the date on the vial. It’s a small step that saves confusion a week later.
Storage and reconstitution
Keep the vial sealed in the fridge, or in a freezer for long storage. Let it reach room temperature before opening so condensation doesn’t get in.
To reconstitute, add bacteriostatic water slowly down the side of the vial and swirl until it’s clear. Store the mixed solution in the fridge and use it within a few weeks.
Other bioregulator peptides
We stock ten bioregulators. A few that often go into the same study:
- Ovagen 20mg, bioregulator associated with the liver and digestive tract
- Crystagen 20mg, bioregulator associated with the immune system
- Cartalax 20mg, bioregulator associated with cartilage and the musculoskeletal system
- Cardiogen 20mg, bioregulator associated with the heart and blood vessels

Thymalin FAQ
How much is in each vial?
10mg of lyophilized peptide.
Is it the same as a tissue extract?
Thymalin is a peptide complex, so it’s closer to an extract than the single-sequence bioregulators are.
Is every batch tested?
Yes. Scan the QR code on the label to see the certificate of analysis for your batch.
Can it be used on people or animals?
No. It’s sold for laboratory research only.
