Description

This is NAD+ 500mg, supplied by LA Peptides as 500mg of freeze-dried powder in a sealed vial. Every batch has its own certificate of analysis, and you can pull it up by scanning the QR code on the side of the label. It’s for laboratory research only.

What is NAD+?

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every living cell. It carries electrons in the reactions that turn food into energy, switching back and forth with its reduced form, NADH.

It’s also used up by enzymes such as sirtuins and PARPs, which handle DNA repair and gene regulation. It isn’t a peptide, but it sits right next to peptides in a lot of aging research.

What the research says

NAD+ was discovered in 1906 by Arthur Harden and William Young. Interest picked up in the 2000s when studies showed that NAD+ levels fall with age in animals and that raising them changed markers of aging in mice.

That’s made it, and precursors like NR and NMN, a common subject in longevity research.

Checking the batch COA

Every batch gets its own certificate of analysis, and the QR code on the NAD+ 500mg label takes you straight to it. Look for the lot number, the test date and the purity figure. If the lot on the paperwork doesn’t match the lot on the vial, set the vial aside until it’s sorted out.

File the COA with the rest of your study notes. If results ever shift between batches, it’s the first thing you’ll want to check.

Which NAD+ size is right for you?

We sell NAD+ in two sizes. The larger vial costs less per milligram, and the smaller one makes sense if you only need a little.

  • NAD+ 500mg: $74.99, about $0.15 per mg (this page)
  • NAD+ 1000mg: $119.99, about $0.12 per mg

Not sure? The NAD+ 500mg vial is a sensible place to start. You can also look at NAD+ 1000mg.

NAD+ 500mg reconstitution and concentration

How much liquid you add decides the concentration. For a NAD+ 500mg vial:

  • 5ml of bacteriostatic water gives 100mg/ml
  • 10ml of bacteriostatic water gives 50mg/ml

Choose whichever volume makes the math simplest for your protocol, and label the vial with the concentration and the mixing date.

Storing and mixing

Unopened, the vial is happiest in a fridge at 2 to 8°C, or frozen for longer storage. Let it warm up to room temperature before you break the seal, so condensation doesn’t get in.

Most labs reconstitute it with bacteriostatic water. Add it slowly against the glass, then roll the vial between your fingers until it clears. Shaking can damage peptide chains, so skip that. Refrigerate the mixed solution and use it within about a month. A peptide case helps if vials travel between benches.

NAD+ 500mg FAQ

How much is in the vial?

500mg of lyophilized compound. The amount is printed on the label.

Is NAD+ a peptide?

No. It’s a small molecule, but it’s studied alongside peptides in a lot of the same research, so we stock it with them.

Is every batch tested?

Yes. Each batch has a certificate of analysis, and the QR code on the vial opens the one for your batch.

What do I need to reconstitute it?

Bacteriostatic water and a sterile syringe. We sell BAC water in 10ml vials.

Can it be used on people or animals?

No. It’s sold for laboratory research only and isn’t approved for human or veterinary use.
