Description

NAD+ 1000mg from LA Peptides comes as 1000mg of lyophilized powder in a sealed glass vial, made for laboratory research. Every batch has its own certificate of analysis, and you can pull it up by scanning the QR code on the side of the label.

What is NAD+?

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every living cell. It carries electrons in the reactions that turn food into energy, switching back and forth with its reduced form, NADH.

It’s also used up by enzymes such as sirtuins and PARPs, which handle DNA repair and gene regulation. It isn’t a peptide, but it sits right next to peptides in a lot of aging research.

Research so far

NAD+ was discovered in 1906 by Arthur Harden and William Young. Interest picked up in the 2000s when studies showed that NAD+ levels fall with age in animals and that raising them changed markers of aging in mice.

That’s made it, and precursors like NR and NMN, a common subject in longevity research.

What’s on the certificate of analysis

Scan the QR code on the label and the certificate of analysis for that batch opens on your phone. A peptide COA usually lists the lot number, the test date, purity by HPLC and identity by mass spectrometry. Before you start, check that the lot number on the COA matches the one on your NAD+ 1000mg vial.

Saving the COA alongside your records is a small habit that pays off when you’re comparing one batch with the next.

Which NAD+ size is right for you?

We sell NAD+ in two sizes. The larger vial costs less per milligram, and the smaller one makes sense if you only need a little.

  • NAD+ 500mg: $74.99, about $0.15 per mg
  • NAD+ 1000mg: $119.99, about $0.12 per mg (this page)

Not sure? The NAD+ 1000mg vial is the better value if you go through a lot. You can also look at NAD+ 500mg.

NAD+ 1000mg reconstitution and concentration

How much liquid you add decides the concentration. For a NAD+ 1000mg vial:

  • 5ml of bacteriostatic water gives 200mg/ml
  • 10ml of bacteriostatic water gives 100mg/ml

Pick a volume that makes your measurements easy, then write the concentration and the date on the vial. It’s a small step that saves confusion a week later.

How to reconstitute and store it

Keep the sealed vial in the fridge, or in the freezer if you won’t get to it for a few months. Before you open it, let it come to room temperature so moisture doesn’t condense inside.

Most labs reconstitute it with bacteriostatic water. Run the liquid slowly down the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently. Don’t shake it. Once mixed, keep it refrigerated and use it within a few weeks. A peptide case helps if vials travel between benches.

NAD+ 1000mg FAQ

How much is in each vial?

1000mg of lyophilized compound. The amount is printed on the label.

Is NAD+ a peptide?

No. It’s a small molecule, but it’s studied alongside peptides in a lot of the same research, so we stock it with them.

Is every batch tested?

Yes. Each batch has a certificate of analysis, and the QR code on the vial opens the one for your batch.

What do I need to reconstitute it?

Bacteriostatic water and a sterile syringe. We sell BAC water in 10ml vials.

Can it be used on people or animals?

No. It’s sold for laboratory research only and isn’t approved for human or veterinary use.
