Description
PT-141 ships as a sealed vial holding 10mg of lyophilized powder. Every batch has its own certificate of analysis, and you can pull it up by scanning the QR code on the side of the label. It’s sold for laboratory research only.
What is PT-141?
PT-141, or bremelanotide, is a cyclic seven-amino-acid peptide. It’s a metabolite of Melanotan II and acts on melanocortin receptors in the brain, mainly MC4R and MC3R.
Unlike most compounds studied for sexual function, it works in the central nervous system, not on blood flow. That’s what made it interesting in the first place.
PT-141 vial specifications
- Class: cyclic heptapeptide (melanocortin agonist)
- Amount: 10mg per vial
- Form: lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder
- Container: sealed glass vial with flip-off cap
- SKU: LAP-PT141-10
- Testing: batch certificate of analysis, linked by QR code on the label
- Use: laboratory research only, not for human or veterinary use
Research background
Palatin Technologies developed it from Melanotan II after researchers noticed side effects in the original tanning studies. An injectable version was approved by the FDA in 2019 under the name Vyleesi, for a specific condition in premenopausal women.
Our PT-141 is research material, not that product, and it’s sold for laboratory use only.

Batch testing and the COA
The QR code isn’t decoration. It links to the certificate of analysis for the exact batch in your hand, so you aren’t relying on a generic sheet. Check the lot number, the date and the purity result for the compound before you open it.
Keep a copy of the COA with your lab notes. It makes it much easier to compare results between batches later on.
Working out the concentration
How much liquid you add decides the concentration. For this vial holding 10mg:
- 1ml of bacteriostatic water gives 10mg/ml
- 2ml of bacteriostatic water gives 5mg/ml
- 3ml of bacteriostatic water gives about 3.33mg/ml
Less liquid gives a stronger solution, more liquid gives a weaker one. Write down what you used, right on the vial, so nobody has to guess later.
Storage and reconstitution
Store the vial cold and dark. A fridge is fine for weeks, and a freezer is better for months. Give it a few minutes at room temperature before opening.
Most labs reconstitute it with bacteriostatic water. Let the water run down the side of the vial instead of straight onto the powder, then swirl until it’s clear. Keep the solution in the fridge afterward. A peptide case helps if vials travel between benches.
