Description
Sermorelin from LA Peptides comes as 10mg of lyophilized powder in a sealed glass vial, made for laboratory research. Every batch has its own certificate of analysis, and you can pull it up by scanning the QR code on the side of the label.
What is Sermorelin?
Sermorelin is the first 29 amino acids of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). That short stretch is all you need for full activity at the GHRH receptor, so it’s sometimes written as GHRH(1-29).
It tells the pituitary to release growth hormone in pulses, the same way natural GHRH does. That’s different from giving growth hormone itself.

Research so far
It was approved in the US under the brand name Geref for children with growth hormone deficiency. The maker stopped selling it in 2008 for business reasons, not safety ones.
Since then sermorelin has stayed in research, where it’s the reference compound for GHRH analogues like tesamorelin and CJC-1295.

What’s on the certificate of analysis
Scan the QR code on the label and the certificate of analysis for that batch opens on your phone. A peptide COA usually lists the lot number, the test date, purity by HPLC and identity by mass spectrometry. Before you start, check that the lot number on the COA matches the one on your vial.
Saving the COA alongside your records is a small habit that pays off when you’re comparing one batch with the next.
Working out the concentration
How much liquid you add decides the concentration. For this vial holding 10mg:
- 1ml of bacteriostatic water gives 10mg/ml
- 2ml of bacteriostatic water gives 5mg/ml
- 3ml of bacteriostatic water gives about 3.33mg/ml
Pick a volume that makes your measurements easy, then write the concentration and the date on the vial. It’s a small step that saves confusion a week later.
How to reconstitute and store it
Keep the sealed vial in the fridge, or in the freezer if you won’t get to it for a few months. Before you open it, let it come to room temperature so moisture doesn’t condense inside.
Most labs reconstitute it with bacteriostatic water. Run the liquid slowly down the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently. Don’t shake it. Once mixed, keep it refrigerated and use it within a few weeks. A peptide case helps if vials travel between benches.
