Description

These BPC-157 capsules come 60 to a bottle, each one holding 500mcg of BPC-157. No vials and no mixing, just a fixed amount per capsule for oral formulation research.

What’s in BPC-157 capsules?

BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid peptide based on a fragment of a protein found in human gastric juice. Most of what’s published on it comes from rodent studies at the University of Zagreb, looking at tendon, muscle and gut tissue. It’s unusually stable for a peptide, which is why it’s one of the few that gets formulated as a spray or capsule at all.

BPC-157 is unusually stable in stomach acid for a peptide, which is why capsule versions exist at all. Some of the original Zagreb studies gave it by mouth, so oral work has a basis in the literature.

Capsules versus vials

The capsule format is about consistency and convenience. A fixed amount per capsule takes the measuring out of the process, and a dry capsule keeps far longer than a mixed solution.

Keep in mind that oral and injected forms of the same peptide can behave very differently. Many studies run both side by side.

Other formats of the same compound: BPC-157 10mg (lyophilized vial), GLOW Peptide Blend 70mg (50mg/10mg/10mg in one vial), KLOW Peptide Blend 80mg (80mg in one vial).

Research background

Most of the published work comes from Predrag Sikiric’s group at the University of Zagreb, which has been publishing on it since the early 1990s. Their studies are mostly in rats and mice and look at tendon, ligament, muscle and gut tissue models. Other labs have since looked at its effect on blood vessel growth and on the nitric oxide system.

How to store BPC-157 capsules

Store the bottle closed, somewhere cool and dry. Moisture is the main thing to avoid, so keep the lid on and the desiccant in.

Handle the capsules with dry gloves, and keep the bottle away from children and pets.

Keeping track of your capsules

Sixty capsules is a fixed count, which makes record keeping easy. Note the date you opened the BPC-157 capsules and keep a running count, and you’ll always know how many are left and when to reorder.

If you open capsules to work with the powder inside, remember that the labeled amount applies to a whole capsule. Weigh the contents if your method needs a precise figure.

Oral peptide research in brief

Taking peptides by mouth is hard because the stomach and gut are built to break proteins down. Researchers work around that with enzyme-resistant sequences, coatings, absorption enhancers and very small molecules. Comparing a capsule with an injectable form of the same compound is one of the simplest ways to see how much of that challenge a given compound faces.
