Description
TB500 ships as a sealed vial holding 10mg of lyophilized powder. Every batch has its own certificate of analysis, and you can pull it up by scanning the QR code on the side of the label. It’s sold for laboratory research only.
What is TB500?
TB500 is a synthetic peptide based on thymosin beta-4, a 43-amino-acid protein that nearly every human cell makes. Thymosin beta-4 binds actin, the protein cells use to build their internal scaffolding and to move, so it turns up wherever cells are migrating or reorganizing.
Our vial is labeled as a thymosin beta-4 fragment. Research versions focus on the actin-binding region of the full protein, which is the part most studies care about. It’s smaller than the full protein and cheaper to make.

Research background
Thymosin beta-4 was isolated in the early 1980s by Allan Goldstein’s lab at George Washington University. Since then it’s been studied in wound, cornea and heart tissue models, mostly in animals, and a few early human trials of the full protein were run by RegeneRx.
The fragment sold as TB500 hasn’t been through formal clinical trials. It isn’t approved by the FDA, and it’s on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s prohibited list, so it stays a lab compound.

Batch testing and the COA
The QR code isn’t decoration. It links to the certificate of analysis for the exact batch in your hand, so you aren’t relying on a generic sheet. Check the lot number, the date and the purity result for the compound before you open it.
Keep a copy of the COA with your lab notes. It makes it much easier to compare results between batches later on.
Working out the concentration
How much liquid you add decides the concentration. For this vial holding 10mg:
- 1ml of bacteriostatic water gives 10mg/ml
- 2ml of bacteriostatic water gives 5mg/ml
- 3ml of bacteriostatic water gives about 3.33mg/ml
Less liquid gives a stronger solution, more liquid gives a weaker one. Write down what you used, right on the vial, so nobody has to guess later.
Storage and reconstitution
Store the vial cold and dark. A fridge is fine for weeks, and a freezer is better for months. Give it a few minutes at room temperature before opening.
Most labs reconstitute it with bacteriostatic water. Let the water run down the side of the vial instead of straight onto the powder, then swirl until it’s clear. Keep the solution in the fridge afterward. A peptide case helps if vials travel between benches.
