Description
LAP-1 5mg from LA Peptides comes as 5mg of lyophilized powder in a sealed glass vial, made for laboratory research. Every batch has its own certificate of analysis, and you can pull it up by scanning the QR code on the side of the label.
What is LAP-1 (S)?
LAP-1 (S) is a synthetic peptide analogue that acts on a single receptor, the GLP-1 receptor. GLP-1 is an incretin, a gut hormone released after eating that signals the pancreas and the brain.
Natural GLP-1 breaks down within minutes. Analogues like this one carry changes to the sequence and a fatty side chain that lets them bind albumin, so they last far longer.

Research so far
GLP-1 receptor agonists are one of the most studied peptide classes of the last 20 years, with a large body of clinical research on blood sugar and body weight.
LAP-1 (S) is supplied for laboratory research on that receptor. It isn’t a drug and isn’t approved for use in people.

What’s on the certificate of analysis
Scan the QR code on the label and the certificate of analysis for that batch opens on your phone. A peptide COA usually lists the lot number, the test date, purity by HPLC and identity by mass spectrometry. Before you start, check that the lot number on the COA matches the one on your LAP-1 5mg vial.
Saving the COA alongside your records is a small habit that pays off when you’re comparing one batch with the next.
Which LAP-1 (S) size is right for you?
We sell LAP-1 (S) in two sizes. The larger vial costs less per milligram, and the smaller one makes sense if you only need a little.
- LAP-1 (S) 5mg: $64.99, about $13 per mg (this page)
- LAP-1 (S) 10mg: $89.99, about $9 per mg
Not sure? The LAP-1 5mg vial is a sensible place to start. You can also look at LAP-1 (S) 10mg.
LAP-1 5mg reconstitution and concentration
How much liquid you add decides the concentration. For a LAP-1 5mg vial:
- 1ml of bacteriostatic water gives 5mg/ml
- 2ml of bacteriostatic water gives 2.5mg/ml
- 3ml of bacteriostatic water gives about 1.67mg/ml
Pick a volume that makes your measurements easy, then write the concentration and the date on the vial. It’s a small step that saves confusion a week later.
How to reconstitute and store it
Keep the sealed LAP-1 5mg vial in the fridge, or in the freezer if you won’t get to it for a few months. Before you open it, let it come to room temperature so moisture doesn’t condense inside.
Most labs reconstitute it with bacteriostatic water. Run the liquid slowly down the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently. Don’t shake it. Once mixed, keep it refrigerated and use it within a few weeks. A peptide case helps if vials travel between benches.
